


A guaranteed income program in the city of El Monte, California, is accepting applications for another 16 days, with recipients of the program getting $500 every month for a year.
A total of 125 applicants will be selected to receive this income from this program, which is intended for mothers in the city. Applications for the program opened on Monday and will remain open until April 15, according to the city.

The recipients for this program will all be selected by April 26.
To be eligible, an applicant must live within the city limits of El Monte, be a single female head of household with no spouse or partner in the house, and have children younger than 17. Additionally, applicants must have a verified income at or below the federal poverty line, be able to show a need for financial assistance due to the COVID-19 pandemic and be able to submit documents verifying school enrollment, proof of residency, proof of income, and a government-issued ID.
Those interested in applying for this program can do so either in person at the City Manager's Office, online, or by mail.
