House GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) slammed a "damning photo" of then-Vice President Joe Biden on Air Force Two during a 2015 trip to Ukraine with a current special coordinator who is linked to first son Hunter Biden.
Stefanik claimed the photo, which shows Biden being briefed by current special presidential coordinator Amos Hochstein, who was in communication with Hunter Biden at the time, is "further evidence" that Biden administration officials knew the president was previously involved with his son's business dealings.

"This damning picture of then Vice President Joe Biden on Air Force Two en route to Ukraine talking with Amos Hochstein is just further evidence that Biden and senior officials in the Biden Administration not only knew of Hunter Biden's corrupt foreign business dealings, but also that Joe Biden was intimately involved while Vice President," Stefanik told Fox News.

Stefanik claimed that the photograph was taken ahead of a meeting between Joe Biden and then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, where the then-vice president had threatened to withhold aid from Ukraine if a Ukrainian prosecutor that was investigating Burisma, which Hunter Biden sat on the board for, was not terminated.
"All evidence points directly to Joe Biden being deeply compromised. House Republicans will leave no stone unturned in our investigations into Biden’s involvement in his family's influence peddling scheme," Stefanik said.
Emails and congressional testimony that was obtained by Fox News revealed exchanges between Hunter Biden and Hochstein, including the first son requesting contacts from Hochstein that could help navigate a new tax in Ukraine on private energy companies in 2014.
But Hochstein reportedly voiced concerns to both Bidens in October of 2015 that Hunter Biden's position on the board of Burisma risked undermining United States policy in Ukraine. He also warned it helped fuel Russian disinformation campaigns. The meeting with Joe Biden took place in the West Wing of the White House, but the Hunter Biden meeting where Hochstein raised his concerns was during a meeting over coffee. White House visitor logs confirm Hochstein met with Biden.

"We were starting to think about a trip to Ukraine, and I wanted to make sure that he [Vice President Biden] was aware that there was an increase in chatter on media outlets close to Russians and corrupt oligarchs-owned media outlets about undermining his message — to try to undermine his [Vice President Biden’s] message and including Hunter Biden being part of the board of Burisma," Hochstein told Congress in 2020.
Hochstein was appointed special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs during the Obama-Biden administration. He was later tapped as Biden's special coordinator for global infrastructure and energy security in August of 2021, but he now serves as the special presidential coordinator.
