


Monday’s snowstorm resulted in 10,300 flights being delayed or canceled.
The storm comes as members of Congress are traveling to Washington to certify the 2024 presidential election. Monday was the start of the first of 10 consecutive work weeks for the Senate.
Flight tracking data site FlightAware reported hundreds of delays at Ronald Reagan Washington National and Baltimore Washington International airports on Monday alone. Meanwhile, almost a quarter of flights at Washington Dulles International Airport were delayed.
Nationwide, over 1,100 flights were delayed as of Monday morning. Another 1,474 were canceled.

As a result, airlines are offering travel waivers that allow customers to rebook without any extra fee. American Airlines is allowing waivers at 46 airports. Delta Air Lines is offering the same at 20 airports.
On Tuesday, flights appear to return to normal. Only 11 flights have been canceled so far on that day.
