Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN) endorsed former President Donald Trump for president in 2024 on Monday, adding to Trump's already impressive list of congressional endorsements.

"Donald Trump is a businessman and outsider," said Braun, who is running for governor of Indiana in 2024. "Together, we took on the Washington swamp with a historic victory in the 2018 Indiana Senate race."

"We installed constitutional conservatives on the Supreme Court who have protected the unborn and our Second Amendment rights, and we disrupted the cozy, self-serving Washington elites who are bankrupting our country," he added.

"Donald Trump is the candidate capable of returning us to the America First policies that delivered unmatched prosperity and security for the American people," Braun reiterated to Fox News.

The valuable endorsement is the 11th from a senator, adding to those from Sens. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Ted Budd (R-NC), Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), J.D. Vance (R-OH), Steve Daines (R-MT), Eric Schmitt (R-MO), Bill Hagerty (R-TN), and Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS).

Trump also enjoys the endorsements of dozens of House representatives, overshadowing his competitors who lack similar quantities of endorsements.

Braun's endorsement comes despite fellow Hoosier former Vice President Mike Pence's 2024 campaign, which has the support of current Gov. Eric Holcomb (R-IN).

In the midterm elections, when Trump's endorsement power didn't go the distance in every case, his record in Indiana remained impressive.

Earlier this year, the former president endorsed Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) to replace Braun in the Senate seat.
