Protesters made their way to former President Donald Trump's South Florida club, Mar-a-Lago, to show their support for him as rumors swirl that he might be indicted in New York City.

Reports surfaced over the weekend alleging a Manhattan grand jury would indict Trump, with the former president himself saying on Saturday he expects to be arrested on Tuesday.

While there has been no confirmation of charges being brought against Trump, police have upped safety precautions in New York City as the grand jury finishes their deliberations.

Supporters of Trump gathered outside of Mar-a-Lago with paraphernalia and flags related to the former president and played music on the side of the road.

Manhattan prosecutors have been investigating to see if the former president falsified business records to list a $130,000 reimbursement of his then-lawyer Michael Cohen for paying off porn star Stormy Daniels as a legal expense.

Falsifying business records in that way is a misdemeanor in New York, but it can be elevated to a felony if the district attorney's office argues the falsification was done with the intent of concealing a second crime.

Protesters previously gathered outside Mar-a-Lago in August 2022 after Trump's residence at the club was searched by the FBI as part of an investigation into his handling of classified documents.
