Zito appeared on The Hugh Hewitt Show on Wednesday, hours after Trump announced that the U.S. conducted a “kinetic strike” against a Venezuelan vessel that killed 11 Tren de Aragua gang members while they were allegedly transporting drugs.

“Salena, today the president was in the Oval talking about blowing up the drug boat from Venezuela,” Hewitt said. “What did you think about that action?
“Based on talking to voters, what I heard was: ‘This is what we voted for,’” Zito said.

Since the strike, Mexico announced that it will cooperate with the State Department to combat drug cartels.
