Russia continued its brutal attacks against Ukraine on Thursday, launching what Ukrainian officials called a “massive combined air strike” on multiple areas throughout the country.

Russia launched 574 drones and 40 missiles into Ukraine on Thursday, reported ABC News. Most of the drones and missiles were intercepted and destroyed. Yet, several were able to hit targets in Ukraine, one of which was an American electronics manufacturer, according to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

Sybiha blasted the attack by Russia, claiming it was another attack on a civilian target.

“Contrary to all efforts to end the war, Russia undertook a massive combined air strike on Ukraine overnight,” Sybiha posted on his X account.

“Hundreds of drones, hypersonic, ballistic, and cruise missiles on civilian and energy infrastructure,” he said. “One of the missiles struck a major American electronics manufacturer in our westernmost region, leading to serious damage and casualties. A fully civilian facility that has nothing to do with defense or the military.”

“This is not the first Russian attack on American businesses in Ukraine, after strikes on Boeing offices in Kyiv earlier this year and other attacks,” he added. “No military logic or necessity, just terror against people, businesses, and normal life in our country.”

The attacks come less than a week after Russian President Vladimir Putin met with President Donald Trump in Alaska to discuss possible ways to end the war in Ukraine. It also comes three days after Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other European leaders at the White House about a potential resolution to the war.

Zelensky also criticized the attack on Thursday, categorizing it as another Russian assault on civilian targets, including “infrastructure facilities, residential buildings, and our people.”

“Several cruise missiles were lobbed against an American-owned enterprise in Zakarpattia,” Zelensky said in a post on X. “It was a regular civilian business, supported by American investment, producing everyday items like coffee machines. And yet, it was also a target for the Russians. This is very telling.”

Zelensky also said 15 people were injured in the bombing. He added that the incident is the latest example of why increased efforts are needed to stop the war, specifically mentioning sanctions and tariffs.

“And the Russians carried out this attack as if nothing has changed at all, as if there are no global efforts to stop this war,” Zelensky said. “This requires a response. There is still no signal from Moscow that they truly intend to engage in substantive negotiations and end this war. Pressure is needed. Strong sanctions, strong tariffs. I thank everyone who is helping.”
