Russell Brand's publisher Pan Macmillan said it has suspended his latest book deal after numerous sexual assault allegations came to light.
“These are very serious allegations and in the light of them, Bluebird has taken the decision to pause all future publishing with Russell Brand,” the book publisher's imprint Bluebird said in a statement on Monday.

Brand's 2018 book, Recovery: Freedom from our Addictions, was set to be republished in May 2024.

Brand, who rose to fame in the early 2000s as a comedian-turned-actor, has starred in top Hollywood films including Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek in 2010. He was married to singer Katy Perry for 10 months. His career took a pivot with hosting his own video series on YouTube.
Four women have accused Brand of sexual assault allegations, which were reported first in the Times of London, the Sunday Times, and on Channel 4.

Brand released a video response on his social media “absolutely” rejecting any of the allegations. He described the claims as “extremely egregious and aggressive attacks” in a nearly three-minute-long video.
He openly admitted to living a promiscuous lifestyle but claimed the interactions were all consensual.
