NextImg:RFK Jr. reveals he flew on Epstein's plane twice, contradicting previous claim

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stated Tuesday that he flew on Jeffrey Epstein's plane twice, contradicting a previous claim by his spokesperson last month.

Kennedy was asked if he had ever flown with the late Epstein, who had been widely suspected to have been involved in sex trafficking and child exploitation prior to his death, to which the presidential candidate said he had flown with Epstein in 1993 and again in 2012. The statement contradicts what Kennedy's spokesperson said in November when he said he had “flown one time on Jeffrey Epstein’s private plane" with his then-wife Mary, who died in 2012, and two of his children.

KYRSTEN SINEMA ACCUSED IN ETHICS COMPLAINT OF 'ONGOING FAILURE' TO REPORT FINANCES

"I was on Jeffrey Epstein’s jet two times. I was on it in 1993 and I was on it in, and I went to Florida with my wife and two children to visit my mom over Easter on — my wife had some kind of relationship with Ghislaine Maxwell, and they offered us to Palm Beach, so I went then," Kennedy said on Fox News's Jesse Watters Primetime. "And on another occasion, I flew again with my family, with I think four of my children, and Mary, my wife, to Rapid City, South Dakota, to go fossil hunting for a weekend. But otherwise I was never on his jet alone. I have been very open about this from the beginning."

Kennedy went on to state that the first trip he took was in 1993, which he said was before anybody knew about Epstein’s "nefarious issues." He also stated that all the information about Epstein's 2019 death should be provided to the public, and that "real answers" should be provided regarding Epstein's connections to people with high political and financial standing.

A Justice Department watchdog determined earlier this year that Epstein's death was a result of "negligence and misconduct" from guards that allowed him to commit suicide. Epstein had been awaiting trial on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges in 2019 at the time of his death.

On Wednesday, Kennedy reiterated on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that he had flown with Epstein twice, but added that both times he flew he was with his wife and children, and the flights' destination had not been Epstein's "infamous island."

"All Epstein & Maxwell flight logs and client lists should be released," Kennedy wrote. "I’m not hiding anything, but they are!"

Epstein's connections span many celebrities and politicians, some of whom flew with Epstein on his "Lolita Express" plane. Besides Kennedy, notable people who allegedly flew with Epstein on his private jet include former President Donald Trump, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, former President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and House of Cards actor Kevin Spacey, according to Newsweek.
