Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. teamed up with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Tuesday to promote the “Pete & Bobby Challenge” on X and create a “war fighting force.”
The challenge requires participants to complete 100 push-ups and 50 pull-ups within 10 minutes, though completing it in five minutes is the “top standard.” Both secretaries posted videos of themselves doing the challenge with others in the Pentagon.

Hegseth accomplished the challenge in 5:25 minutes, with Kennedy hot on his heels at 5:48 minutes.
“It was President [Donald] Trump who inspired us to do this. This is the beginning of our tour, challenging Americans to get back in shape, eat better, but also you need to get out and exercise,” Kennedy said in a video on X.
Kennedy and Hegseth also challenged Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy to complete the workout. Kennedy joked that Duffy could be “part of this club” if the transportation secretary accomplishes the challenge in six minutes.
In his video, Hegseth challenged Fox News’s Will Cain to the workout test. Hegseth worked as a Fox & Friends Weekend cohost before joining the Trump administration.
