Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) has asked FBI Director Christopher Wray to "do your job" in the wake of the House Oversight Committee's press conference on the Biden family's alleged involvement in a "criminal scheme."

Mace made the fiery comments in response to a statement the FBI issued regarding an alleged document the agency claimed was unverified. The South Carolina congresswoman stated that the Biden family's involvement with other countries "should be investigated to the fullest extent of the law," according to Fox News.

"Well, I have one message for the FBI’s Christopher Wray," Mace said. "This is just — and I’m looking at you, Mr. Wray — this is just the tip of the iceberg. Man up and do your job.

"And what we've seen and tried to show through bank records, the Biden family has been playing a shell game with millions of dollars from our adversaries, including Communist China, and now the FBI is playing a shell game that will prove to the extent to which this was happening," Mace continued.

On Wednesday, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) presented evidence, through records the committee had subpoenaed, that "the Biden family, their business associates, and their companies received over $10 million” from companies belonging to foreign nationals. Mace said she does not know when the next update on the committee's investigation will be but that people will "continue to see us investigate and have more updates like the press conference yesterday."

"Everyone wants to say there is no connection to the president," Mace said. "We have debunked many of the lies told. We were told the laptop was fake. It was not. We were told that this didn't happen while he was vice president. It did."

In addition to the FBI, Mace has also pressured the Department of Justice to take action, telling the department on Wednesday that it "needs to get off its ass and investigate."

"If these allegations, any of these allegations, are proven true, then someone with the last name Biden needs to be charged, prosecuted, and maybe spend a little bit of time in prison to take to account and responsible for the actions they've taken today," Mace continued.

In Comer's memo, the names of nine Biden family members were listed that he believes are implicated in the various payments. The memo names Hunter Biden, James Biden, James Biden’s wife Sara, Beau Biden’s widow and Hunter Biden’s ex-girlfriend, Hallie Biden, Hunter Biden’s ex-wife Kathleen Buhle, Hunter Biden’s wife, Melissa Cohen, and three children of Joe Biden or of James Biden. Per Comer's memo, all those people received payments from foreign entities.

The FBI refused to hand over a bureau form allegedly describing a “criminal scheme” involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and an unnamed “foreign national” on Wednesday afternoon. The agency argued that "as is clear from the name itself, confidentiality is definitional to the FBI’s Confidential Human Source program" and that "significant harm to investigative work — and to the program as a whole — could result from dissemination of FD-1023s or other similar documents."
