Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) warned of a challenge to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's (R-CA) speakership if he neglected the demands of conservatives.
In an appearance on Steve Bannon's War Room, Jackson reminded the House speaker of the importance of the Freedom Caucus, of which Jackson is a member. He warned that neglecting the conservative group could have severe consequences regarding McCarthy's leadership position.

“It’s going to be detrimental to leadership in the House if they blow off the concerns of the people like myself and the Freedom Caucus and some of the other people on the Right that are making reasonable demands in this problem,” Jackson said. “It’s going to be a problem.”
Jackson said he believes a move to vacate McCarthy's speakership is "inevitable."
“I think if we continue to rely on the Democrats to pass important legislation out of the House, it’s going to be a real problem for leadership. And I think the way the rules are set up now, that’s inevitable that’s going to happen,” he said.

The Freedom Caucus has often been a thorn in McCarthy's side, starting in January when many of its members triggered a dramatic showdown when they refused to vote for his speakership, holding up the proceedings for several days. He only won their vote after extensive negotiations and concessions.
Freedom Caucus members have been critical of McCarthy, arguing that he hasn't done enough to curb government spending.
