Metro Crime Stoppers announced on Wednesday it will offer $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man authorities believe killed Rachel Morin, a Maryland mother of five who was killed while on an early evening jog on Aug. 5.
Authorities believe the suspect is a Hispanic man, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 160 lbs, and is between 20 and 30 years old. Using DNA evidence found at the scene, officials were able to link the unknown man to a March home invasion and rape of a girl in Los Angeles.

The problem is that neither the Los Angeles Police Department nor the Harford County Sheriff's Office knows the suspect's name and is essentially in a holding pattern until someone comes forward or the suspect commits another crime and more information can be collected.
Harford County Sheriff Jeff Gahler said police are working with the FBI to track down the main suspect in Morin's murder but warned the public to stay vigilant and said he could strike again.
"This individual poses a threat to every community from here to Los Angeles because we don't know where he's laying his head at night," he said.

Morin went jogging on the Ma and Pa Heritage Trail in Bel Air, Maryland, on Aug. 5 around 6 p.m. The sun was still up when the blonde, blue-eyed fitness buff went on her jog at the popular 6.2-mile wooded trail. Morin's boyfriend, Richard Tobin, reported her missing five hours later. Police found her abandoned car near the start of the trail, which is behind several businesses, including a brewery, a Domino's, and a condominium complex. It leads into a wooded area and through a neighborhood before dropping into another wooded area underneath a state highway.
One day after Morin went missing near the area, her lifeless body was found, and authorities announced there was "no doubt" her death had been a homicide.
