After right-wing groups were victorious in European elections last week, riots and protests broke out in France. Left-wing political organizations were in total disarray and anger over the political defeat. Many of the groups are communist organizations, a fact that is conveniently omitted by many news organizations covering the political chaos, and they have organized protests and demonstrations nearly every day since the election.
A common refrain among the contemporary political Left is its declared support to “protect democracy.” It has become a cult-like slogan for left-wingers across the globe, from the conflict in Ukraine to the elections on the European continent to political agendas in the United States. The Left has weaponized the phrase “protect democracy” to give its adherents another layer of sanctimony and superiority to exude over their political opponents.
But all of this is a facade. In reality, the Left doesn’t care about democracy. Its followers care about power. They thirst for power. They yearn for power. And ultimately, they want to purge, eliminate, and overthrow any threat to obtaining that power. Look no further than the chaos, destruction, and violence being caused by left-wing rioters in France after voters chose the right-wing National Rally party in the European Parliament elections last week. They weren’t protesting because of any injustice. They were causing violence because democracy didn’t go their way this election.
In a free and democratic election, the Left lost. And since that side lost, supporters of the Left do what they always do when they lose elections: resort to violence, chaos, intimidation, and destruction. In essence, they are doing everything that democracy is supposed to stand against. Their actions mimic the horrors associated with totalitarian regimes, not democratic ones. Those on the Left resorted to violence in Europe after elections didn’t go their way, just like they resort to violence in the U.S. when elections don’t go their way.
This is nothing new, of course. It is how the global Left has been for decades, if not the last century. It was on full display when violent left-wing protesters caused chaos and destruction and assaulted people attending former President Donald Trump’s inauguration in January 2017. It happened during the inauguration of President George W. Bush in January 2001.

But far too often, the Left’s violence is overlooked, is outright ignored, or is just dismissed as an acceptable hazard of politics. But this shouldn’t be the case. And, accountability for the destruction left-wingers cause aside, their violent tendencies should be amplified worldwide to reveal these villains for who they are. They are manipulators. They are indoctrinators. They are intimidators. And they are part of a virulent political gang.
Under the guise of freedom and democracy, the Left engages in violence, oppression, and tyranny.
