NextImg:Pollsters say support for Trump’s Iran strikes and ceasefire is ‘overwhelming’ - Washington Examiner

A pair of pollsters argued that surveys they conducted show that President Donald Trump hit a “home run” against Iran, contrary to another sampling this week that showed decreasing support for the commander in chief.

The latest polls, released by InsiderAdvantage, show that 58% of respondents approve of Trump’s strikes against Iran, and 59.5% in favor of the president’s handling of the war between Israel and Iran. Pollster Matt Towery noted how other polls asked people about “military actions” against Iran, and he suggested this term implies that other actions were being taken against the country, which is different from specifically asking about the strikes on the nuclear strikes.

“The opinion is overwhelming right now, Sean, and I will tell you this: We started polling on Sunday to begin with, and the opinion was sort of mixed,” Towery said on Fox News’s Hannity. “So we looked at our wording, we looked at how things were changing, we continued with an expanded poll, and these are the results that you have. I can assure you: Donald Trump has hit a home run in the way he has handled this crisis in the Middle East.”

Trafalgar Group President Robert Cahaly said that a 23% margin in favor of Trump’s handling of the war is a far cry from how some argue the president cannot be “flexing military muscle” in pursuing peace. He added that Trump’s use of the “limited” military strikes was for the purpose of peace, which is why the majority are in favor of Trump’s actions.

Cahaly added that InsiderAdvantage’s polling asked respondents three different questions, compared to other polls that asked about just one angle on these strikes. Besides asking about the bombing and Trump’s handling, the new polling also asked respondents about the president’s effort to have Israel and Iran maintain their ceasefire — 66.4% are in favor.

InsiderAdvantage’s poll was conducted from June 23 to June 24, with a margin of error of +/-2.9%.

ROGAN FEUDS WITH SANDERS OVER TRUMP ‘INTIMIDATING’ MEDIA WITH LAWSUIT

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has criticized the media’s coverage of the strikes, suggesting “it’s like in your DNA and in your blood to cheer against Trump.”

Following the ceasefire deal, Trump called for the yearslong corruption trial against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be “CANCELLED, IMMEDIATELY.”  Trump, who underwent multiple years of legal battles before returning to the White House, compared Netanyahu’s multi-year trial to a “witch hunt.”
