NextImg:Poll finds RFK Jr. holds highest net favorability among all 2024 candidates, with Chris Christie lowest

Robert Kennedy Jr. holds the highest net favorability among all 2024 presidential candidates, a new poll found. Former New Jersey GOP Gov. Chris Christie held the lowest.

A poll from the Economist-YouGov found that 49% of respondents viewed Kennedy very or somewhat favorably, compared to just 30% who viewed him very or somewhat unfavorably, a net favorability of 19 points. In contrast, 51% of respondents had a very or somewhat unfavorable view of Christie, compared to just 27% who viewed him very or somewhat favorably, a net favorability of negative 24 points.

Kennedy's net favorability is higher than the front-runners of both parties; President Joe Biden has a net favorability of negative 6 points, and former President Donald Trump's is negative 10. However, the former environmental scientist benefits by not being as well known as the two front-runners; just 3% were unsure of their opinion of Trump or Biden, while 21% were unsure about Kennedy.

Kennedy's figures are also notable for attracting bipartisan support; Republicans and conservatives had much more favorable views toward him than liberals or Democrats.

The dislike was also fairly distributed along bipartisan lines for Christie; strong feelings of disapproval were noted from Republicans and conservatives and liberals and democrats alike.

The poll was conducted from June 10-13 among 1,500 U.S. adults and had a margin of error of 2.9 points.
