


Police are looking for an unusual suspect who is accused of robbing a man at knife-point on Tuesday while three parrots sat on top of his shoulders in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Police are dubbing the robbery suspect the "Bird Bandit," and he is wanted for "strong-armed robbery."

According to police, the unnamed victim was near a McDonald's restaurant when an unknown man with three birds displayed a knife and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of money.

Law enforcement shared that the suspect is a Hispanic man between 28-32 years old with tattoos.
"The suspect can be seen below wearing a black cowboy hat with two parrots, a patterned shirt, and a third parrot on his shoulder," Fairfax County Police described the suspect.
Surveillance video from a local business was obtained through the police's investigation and shows the man with three parrots wandering around a convenience store.

It is unknown whether the Bird Bandit is linked to other robbery cases and whether the parrots were involved in other crimes. Detectives are continuing to investigate this incident as they track down the identity of the suspect.
The suspect was last seen leaving in a blue Ford SUV on Arlington Boulevard in the Seven Corners area of Falls Church, Virginia, on Tuesday.
