Eight presidential hopefuls will meet on a Milwaukee debate stage Wednesday night to tell Republican voters why they should be the 2024 GOP nominee.

The Republican National Committee's first debate for the 2024 election begins at 9 p.m., and just because former President Donald Trump is not participating does not mean you can't.

Those debating include Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND) (pending a basketball injury), former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, former Vice President Mike Pence, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC).
