Planned Parenthood Votes launched its first campaign advertisement of the 2024 election season, highlighting the GOP candidates' views on abortion ahead of the first debate on Wednesday.
The super PAC arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America aired the 48-second ad titled "receipts" on social media and streaming platforms.
"No matter the candidate; They'll all stop at nothing to take away our power to control our personal healthcare decisions," the YouTube description of the video read.
The ad features former Vice President Mike Pence reiterating his stance that all Republican candidates should support an abortion ban, as well as Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) saying that he would "sign the most conservative, pro-life legislation" that could be passed through Congress.
The short video also includes truncated statements from former President Donald Trump, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) communicating their anti-abortion views, but the clip does not highlight that none of them are confident about the ability to pass a national ban.
Both Pence and Scott have been praised by the anti-abortion group Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America for their clear messaging on the need for a national abortion ban.
SBA also said that it would withhold its anti-abortion endorsement for the Republican nomination from any candidate who refused to uphold a minimum standard of a 15-week ban.
"It's possible that we would endorse a candidate, but it's also possible that we won't, and we have a very bright line that hasn't changed and you must communicate your federal minimum standards," SBA President Marjorie Dannenfelser previously told reporters.
The organization has been highly critical of Trump and DeSantis, as well as businessman Vivek Ramaswamy for their lack of clarity on national-level abortion legislation.

Although he takes credit for appointing the Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade, Trump chided DeSantis's six-week abortion ban in Florida as "too harsh" and listed the Republican Party's hard-line stance on abortion as a cause for their lack of success in the 2022 midterm elections.
DeSantis, however, was lambasted last month by SBA and others for telling host Megyn Kelly that jurisdiction on abortion belonged to the states and that, as president, he would do all he could to support states and local communities on regulating the controversial procedure.

Similar to DeSantis, Ramaswamy is in favor of state-level six-week bans on abortion based upon fetal anatomical development, but he does not see a federal authority for abortion legislation.
"A pro-life president has a duty to protect the lives of all Americans. He should be the National Defender of Life," Dannenfelser previously said in a statement. "The pro-life movement and the American people deserve a president who will boldly advocate this consensus and will work to gather the votes necessary in Congress."
