Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) says that electing former President Donald Trump back to the White House in 2024 would put "a criminal enterprise" in the executive mansion.
Pelosi also said that Trump being elected in 2024 "cannot happen" or "we will not be the United States of America" while speaking with New York magazine.

“Don’t even think of that,” Pelosi said. “Don’t think of the world being on fire. It cannot happen, or we will not be the United States of America.”
“If he were to be president, it would be a criminal enterprise in the White House,” Pelosi told the outlet.
The former House speaker, who led the lower chamber of Congress for both of Trump's impeachments, also said that she believed Trump committed a crime on Jan. 6, 2021, when the Capitol riot occurred.
“I knew on January 6 that he had committed a crime,” Pelosi said.
Trump was charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights by a Washington, D.C., grand jury last week in special counsel Jack Smith's investigation into alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Trump pleaded not guilty to the charges at his arraignment on Thursday.

The former president's arraignment on Thursday marks the third time this year he has appeared before a court after being indicted. The former president's first arraignment was in Manhattan in April after being indicted on charges related to the falsification of business records for alleged hush money payments, and the second arraignment was in Miami, Florida, in June after he was indicted on charges related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents.
The former president is widely expected to be indicted in Fulton County, Georgia, in the coming weeks on different charges related to alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election. Trump lost the 2020 election, and the state of Georgia, to now-President Joe Biden.
