Attorney General Pam Bondi said the “weaponization” of the Department of Justice and other government agencies ended because President Donald Trump is in office, following the indictment of former FBI Director James Comey.

Bondi said “everything is on the table” to end the weaponization of justice in an interview on Fox News’s Hannity

“Whether you’re a former FBI director, whether you’re a former head of an intel community, whether you are a current state or local elected official, whether you’re a billionaire funding organizations to keep Donald Trump out of office,” she said. “Everything is on the table. We will investigate you and end the weaponization. No longer will there be a two-tier system of justice.”

Bondi’s appearance on Fox News comes days after Comey was indicted by a federal grand jury on two of three counts sought by prosecutors, one count of making false statements and one count of obstruction of justice, according to documents.

Comey is accused of lying while testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Sept. 30, 2020.

In a Sept. 20 post on Truth Social, Trump said Comey was “guilty as hell” and that “We can’t delay any longer,” and “JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!!”

As Trump was leaving the White House on Sept. 26, Trump told reporters that the charges against Comey were not retribution.

“This is about justice, not about revenge,” Trump said.

Since the indictment, Democrats have argued that Trump is targeting his political enemies.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said DOJ has become a “political tool.”

“The Department of Justice has become a political tool of a vengeful President. President Trump wears his corruption like a badge of honor and defies anyone daring to challenge him. The Attorney General willingly complies with every order from the White House,” Durbin wrote in a statement.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) called the indictment a “disgraceful attack on the rule of law.”

“Donald Trump and his sycophants in the Department of Justice are completely and totally out of control, and have viciously weaponized the criminal justice system against their perceived adversaries,” Jeffries wrote in a statement. “The malicious prosecution against James Comey has no apparent basis in law or fact, and lawyers of good conscience in the department know it.”

Bondi said she is working with her colleagues at other top government agencies “around the clock” and that people will be “held accountable.”

“[People] shouldn’t be nervous any longer because Donald Trump is in office and the weaponization has ended, we’ve made that very clear,” Bondi said on Fox News.

Bondi also said that “no one is above the law” and highlighted that a ‘liberal’ grand jury indicted Comey.

“A very liberal grand jury in one of the most liberal jurisdictions in the country just indicted James Comey,” she said. “Everyone is innocent until proven guilty; however, we are going to trial in this case, and this is just the beginning.”
