Democrats have a message for Vice President Kamala Harris: Do what your boss did in 2024 and bow out of running for president in 2028.

In a stunning rejection of the former presidential candidate, most Democrats now want a new face and not a Harris repeat in four years.

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey shared with Secrets said that just 32% of Democrats want Harris to try again.

And a sizable 55% said the Democrats should look around for a different candidate.

The poll is a reversal of sorts from earlier post-election surveys showing support for Harris in 2028. Those polls were likely influenced by her near miss to President-elect Donald Trump.

However, since the election, the analysis showed that she was a poor candidate, didn’t win over any new voter groups, and failed to beat Trump in any battleground state. Those reports validated her struggling 2020 campaign when she did so poorly that she had to withdraw from the primaries before a single vote was cast.

When President Joe Biden bowed to pressure from the Democratic Party and quit his reelection campaign, he endorsed his understudy for president, forcing liberals to give up hopes for a quick primary election that would have tested the popularity of Harris.

Among all likely voters, the Rasmussen results were even worse for Harris than those among just Democrats, a signal that she would be shown the door again early in the primary process. Rasmussen said that 24% want Harris to run again, while 61% don’t.

There are about a dozen other Democrats eager for a bid, including Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI).

Voters said that one reason Harris lost to Trump is because the Democratic Party has lost touch with America.

“Asked the main reason for Harris’s defeat, only 18% think it was because she was a bad candidate, while 21% believe Harris lost because the Biden administration was unpopular. Forty-five percent say the main reason Harris lost was because the Democratic Party was out of touch with the concerns of most Americans,” the poll analysis said.
