A Drag-A-Thon in Portland, Oregon, has set a new record for the longest drag performance.
It started on Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. in Portland, and as of Wednesday at 4:30 a.m., it had passed the previous world record for the longest drag performance of 36 hours, 30 minutes, and 40 seconds in Melbourne in 2017.

The drag show, held at the drag venue Darcelle XV Showplace, was created to break the Guinness World Record and to raise money for the Trevor Project, an organization supporting LGBT youth. The gender nonconforming clothing line Wildfang is a coordinator of the event.
The drag performances during the Drag-A-Thon included RuPaul's Drag Race star LaLa Ri and Jenna Saisquoix dressed as Princess Aurora from Disney's Sleeping Beauty while dancing to Katy Perry's song "Teenage Dream."

My worst roommate blasted this song on a loop for 12+ hours a day for over a month in 2011. I'm definitely fine. pic.twitter.com/sbB3qQPJgJ

"I'm going to have a beard by the time it's over," Waters said to KATU. "But bearded draq queens are in now!"
Waters said the event was created to "combat all of the hate going on around the country against the drag community and trans community."
