A group backing 2024 hopeful Nikki Haley is planning to spotlight her anti-abortion credentials in early states with a new ad.
The minute-long spot titled “Resolve" features remarks from Haley during a speech before the Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America group last week, highlighting her history on the issue, which Democrats have hammered the GOP over.
BIDEN, TRUMP, AND DESANTIS CHART DIFFERENT PATHS ON ABORTION A YEAR AFTER DOBBS LEAK
“50 years ago, a court forced unlimited abortion on an unwilling nation. Millions of Americans responded, not with rage, but with resolve," Haley explained the showcased remarks. "As a state legislator, I voted for every pro-life bill that came before me. As governor, we passed the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act."
Stand for America, a 501(c)(4) organization that backs Haley, is planning to spend five figures to roll out the ad in Iowa and New Hampshire, the Daily Caller reported. The group is prohibited from coordinating directly with her due to its 501(c)(4) status.
During her speech, Haley emphasized the need to find a "consensus" on abortion and noted that efforts to ban it nationwide lack popular support. She also declined to lay out specific weeks she would be keen on limiting.
Many analyses of the 2022 midterm elections have pinpointed backlash against the GOP on abortion. Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel suggested publicly that Republicans should highlight the positions of Democrats on the issue.
“Pro-life political leaders and candidates must not put up with being demonized. They are acts of division and hatred. President Biden has done nothing to discourage it. In fact, he promotes it. We don’t need a president who endangers lives while dividing our country even more,” Haley further said in the spot.

The ad comes around the one-year anniversary of the bombshell May 2, 2022, leak of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization decision that revealed the Supreme Court's intentions to scrap Roe v. Wade.
Haley is currently polling in fourth place in a hypothetical 2024 field, per the latest RealClearPolitics aggregate.
