A recently released Netflix series has received pushback online for featuring a boy dressed up in a tiara and skirt to dance for his two fathers.
The show, CocoMelon Lane, was released on the popular streaming platform last month but gained attention online on Wednesday over the clip, in which a gay couple helps their toddler son pick out an outfit for a photo. The clip, which was also posted to YouTube, has the three of them singing along to a song called "Just Be You," with the son also trying on firefighter and chef outfits.

CocoMelon Lane is the first original Netflix show from the CocoMelon franchise, which has been incredibly popular on YouTube for its songs aimed at toddlers and young children. CocoMelon's YouTube channel has over 169 million subscribers, making it the third most subscribed channel on the platform.
The Netflix version of CocoMelon's show is not the first show aimed at children to include LGBT content, as Rubble & Crew, a spin-off of the incredibly popular Paw Patrol show, featured a nonbinary character. Similarly, Peppa Pig, a British children's educational cartoon, featured a lesbian couple in an episode last year.
