Neighbors of a drug-riddled Seattle homeless encampment are outraged after a swimming pool was installed for the vagrants living there.

The pool allows the vagrants of the continuously-sprawling encampment to beat the heat, and no one seems to know where it came from, according to a report.

Residents of the area say safety concerns have been growing regarding the encampment.

"All of this is ludicrous," Herb Egge, a resident of senior apartments near the encampment, said.

"These people come in and totally trash the place. Someone told me they hooked up a hose and filled a swimming pool with it."

The encampment started as a few RVs but has since grown to at least 15, the report noted.

Egge maintains that his car has been broken into several times since the encampment spawned, and someone even drilled into his vehicle's gas tank, he said.

"I never dreamed I would have to worry about things like this when I was 72, but times have changed," he said. "As elderly people, especially, we should not have to worry about our possessions or our lives."

Egge's fellow residents of Arrowhead Gardens echoed his sentiment.

"When I hear the shooting, I stay down and away from the windows," Cheryl Galyeam, who claims to regularly hear gunfire, said. "There are times I've had to get on the floor in the middle of the night. It's not safe."

At least one person has been killed in the encampment, according to the report.

"We thought, 'Oh wow, there's been a homicide there. They are going to give us some attention now.' They didn’t," Diane Radischat said. "We want the solutions, and we know what the problems are. When you’ve had the same problem repeatedly in different locations, you know what needs to be done."

The Seattle Mayor's Office, under Democrat Bruce Harrell, is reportedly developing a plan to address the encampment.

"We recognize that this has been a long and often frustrating process for residents at Arrowhead Gardens, and we are pleased that we are moving closer to a site resolution. The Unified Care Team is also discussing with WSDOT possible short-term activation strategies following site resolution to help prevent repopulation," a letter from the mayor's office to Radischat read.
