NBA champion and first overall pick of the 2005 NBA Draft, Andrew Bogut, tore into a youth soccer league he was attempting to sign up his young son for after he learned that the league was offering gender options beyond male and female.

Bogut, who won the 2015 NBA Finals with the Golden State Warriors, was trying to sign up his 6-year-old son with Football Australia when he learned that the league's gender options included male, female, nonbinary/gender fluid, and "gender identity not sufficiently represented."

The native Australian posted an image of the form on social media and put the league on blast.

"Signing our 6 YEAR OLD!, Once again, 6 YEAR OLD! up for soccer," he tweeted. "Cmon @FootballAUS."

ABC host Matt Bevan challenged Bogut in a response tweet.

"That's a standard form mate," Bevan tweeted. "Are you suggesting they adjust it just so the parents of 6yos don’t freak out at having to check a box?"

"How many genders are there Matt?" Bogut replied. "Give me a #."

Days later, Bogut shared a video of an erotic drag show with children present.

"'But its just a drop down box,'" Bogut said.

Football Australia addressed its sign-up procedure, saying it was a measure to ensure inclusivity and diversity.

"Football Australia is proud that our game is the most diverse and inclusive sport in Australia, where our sport and communities offer a safe and welcoming environment for all participants irrespective of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, cultural background, or ability," a spokesperson reportedly said.

"Football Australia's registration platform reflects our game's diversity and inclusiveness, where it asks a series of set questions, with a drop-down feature, where participants can select options that best align with the way in which they identify."
