Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) repeatedly used the word “tranny” during a House Oversight Committee hearing Wednesday.

This came as Mace is pursuing a resolution to ensure only biological women are allowed in female restrooms. It also followed Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE) joining Congress as the first transgender woman.

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) called out Mace for using the word, saying it is “considered a slur in the LGBT” community before he was interrupted by Mace repeating the word over and over again.

“You want penises in women’s bathrooms, and I’m not going to have it,” Mace said.

“To me, a slur is a slur. Here in the committee, a level of decorum requires us to consciously try to avoid slurs,” Connolly said, recommending Chairman James Comer (R-KY) counsel Mace on decorum.

Comer admitted he was “not up to date on my politically correct LGBTQ terminology” but promised to look into it.

“The Left would rather be politically correct than protect women. Save me the pearl-clutching,” Mace captioned a video of the interaction.

Mace expressed her passion behind the effort comes from her experience as a rape survivor. Now, she is floating similar bans in all federal buildings.

“The Left wants your daughter to compete against LeBron James and share a locker room with Michael Phelps. It’s sick. Hold the line on National Girls & Women in Sports Day—and every day,” Mace wrote in a post on X. “This is your daily reminder: a man in a mini skirt doesn’t belong in a women’s locker room or on a women’s sports team.”

Also, on Wednesday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order on women’s sports in an effort to keep transgender athletes out of female leagues. As a result, activist Riley Gaines was invited to be there and visited Capitol Hill during the day.

“Happy National Girls and Women in Sports day,” Gaines wrote on X. “Looking forward to President Trump signing an Executive Order declaring men are no longer welcome in women’s sports today.”

Reps. Stephanie Bice (R-OK), Rick Allen (R-GA), and Kat Cammack (R-FL) shared their respective photos with Gaines.
