NextImg:MTG says Biden bribery allegations have 'not been debunked despite White House's lies'

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) spoke on the House floor Tuesday, renewing impeachment articles for President Joe Biden and pushing to clear the record of twice-impeached former President Donald Trump.

Greene has sponsored multiple articles of impeachment against Biden since he entered the White House in January 2021, and in her newest calls, she cites information from an FBI informant.

Greene began by calling out Democrats and the media for multiple allegations related to Trump. Greene pointed to the Democrats promoting the discredited Steele dossier, which was a 2016 dossier that made unsubstantiated claims about Trump and which “the mainstream media won Pulitzer Prizes on the bogus Russia narrative.”

“And then they led the witch hunt leading to impeaching President Trump over a phone call with the president of Ukraine,” Greene added.

Greene appeared to read off an FBI FD-1023 form on the House floor, which was released by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) last week. The form allegedly contains information about Hunter Biden’s business dealings with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, detailed by claims coming from a confidential informant.

“The information originated from an FBI informant who'd been relied upon for many years and was considered the FBI's top informant,” Greene said. “It was also paid $200,000 for multiple years by the FBI. Information was written by the FBI agent, an official FBI form and relied on no additional sub-sources.”

Greene claimed the FBI took no actions in investigating the claims outlined by the FBI informant, and after the form was released, a White House spokesperson said Republicans are pushing “claims that have been debunked for years.”

She went on to say that because the FBI “refused to describe any investigative steps,” the claims have “not been debunked despite White House's lies and false claims.”

“This form entails the damning information that then-Vice President Joe Biden took a $5 million bribe from the oligarch that owns Burisma,” Greene said, reading off the document. “Not only did Joe Biden take a $5 million bribe, so did Hunter Biden.”

Republican-led committees have possessed WhatsApp messages in which Hunter Biden says his father is present during business dealings, Greene claims.

Greene is currently the subject of a possible censure brought on by freshman Rep. Becca Balint (D-VT) over the Georgia representative’s use of Hunter Biden's nude photos at a congressional hearing last week. The resolution also called out Greene for “racism, antisemitism, LGBTQ hate speech, Islamophobia, anti-Asian hate, xenophobia and other forms of hatred,” as outlined in the resolution

“What I'm demanding is that the Republican-led House of Representatives move forward on an impeachment inquiry on Joe Biden because this type of corruption should never be allowed to stand,” Greene said.

“We must expunge President Trump's wrongful impeachments, and we must impeach Joe Biden,” Greene concluded.
