It’s just not a great time to be a Democrat.
With growing admissions that former President Joe Biden was asleep at the wheel and his vice president, Kamala Harris, was one of the worst-ever presidential candidates, the party has been spiraling down.

And now, that’s hitting home with voters who not only see the party as ineffective but want it to play ball with President Donald Trump.
First, the gloom. An astonishing 70% disapprove of the way Democrats are handling their jobs in Congress. Just 21% approve, according to a new Quinnipiac University national poll of registered voters.
Even Democrats are glum, with 53% disapproving of the way Democratic lawmakers are working in Congress. Just 41% approve of their team.

That’s bad enough, but a new Rasmussen Reports survey shared with Secrets Thursday shows that voters want Democrats to work with Trump, something liberal leaders have sworn off.
Some 55% of likely voters said it would be “better for the country” if Democrats worked with Trump, versus 35% who said it would be better if leaders “totally oppose President Trump on every issue.”

On that issue, Democrats were remarkably split, with 43% urging the party to work with Trump and a near equal 45% urging opposition.
Independent voters, by a strong 55% to 36%, also want to see cooperation.
