


The price for McDonald's iconic Big Mac burger has reportedly increased roughly 22% since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sitting at an average price of $5.15, the cost for the fan-favorite burger has risen across the country, according to a study by CashNetUSA.

Hawaii has the most expensive Big Mac at $5.31, followed by New York at $5.23 and New Jersey at $5.19, per the study.
States including Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, and Oklahoma register in the middle of the pack, with a Big Mac price of $4.07.
The cheapest Big Mac, out of McDonald's 13,000-plus domestic locations, was found to be in Mississippi, where a customer can purchase one for $3.91, according to the study.

"As their latest campaign suggests, a capital M means McDonald’s anywhere that people have eyebrows to raise (i.e., everywhere)," the study read.
"But it can require considerably more money depending on the local menu."
