Mayim Bialik is continuing her stance of solidarity with the Hollywood writers’ strike and will not assume her role as the host of Celebrity Jeopardy! in the upcoming season.
The Big Bang Theory actress chose to step away from the game show in support of the Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists in May and missed the final week of the show.

Reported changes to Jeopardy!’s fall schedule showed that Ken Jennings, a former Jeopardy! champion and Bialik’s co-host, will assume the game show’s podium in her stead.
Jeopardy! showrunner Michael Davies told Variety that material for the second season of Celebrity Jeopardy! was completed prior to the writers’ strike. He explained that the contestants from Seasons 37 and 38 will face off against one another using “a combination of material that our WGA writers wrote before the strike, which is still in the database, and material that has been re-deployed from multiple seasons of the show.”
