


Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is recovering from an ACL tear he suffered during mixed martial arts training.
"Tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it. Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me," Zuckerberg, 39, wrote on Instagram Saturday. "I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that's delayed a bit."

The post included pictures of Zuckerberg in a hospital bed with his left leg bandaged. His wife of over ten years, Priscilla Chan, was also photographed dabbing his forehead and putting on his shoes for him. The pair share three children.
Zuckerberg assured his followers he is "still looking forward to doing it after I recover." Currently, he has a blue belt in jujitsu.
"Thanks to everyone for the love and support," Zuckerberg wrote.

Elon Musk, the owner of X, formerly known as Twitter, has long teased a fight with Zuckerberg to be streamed on his platform. On the other hand, Zuckerberg, whose company owns Facebook, Instagram, and What's App, has dismissed any real intention to fight Musk, who is over ten years older.
An ACL tear is a common knee injury among athletes. Zuckerberg began the MMA sport during the coronavirus pandemic.
