America’s No. 1 conservative voice has stepped up his criticism of the media after several news sites wildly distorted his oft-spoken view of the Russia-Ukraine war into an attack on his friend President Donald Trump and MAGA nation.
“It’s a great relationship. Nobody’s going to get in between it,” Mark Levin told his national radio audience last night.
“I’m probably the biggest, certainly one of the biggest, supporters of this president,” added Levin, nicknamed “the Great One” by his millions of fans on Westwood One radio stations, the Cumulus podcast of his show, and Fox’s Life, Liberty & Levin.

Levin this week was described as being critical of Trump and MAGA by the Drudge Report, Mediaite, and even the New York Post after repeating his criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin, blaming Russia for invading Ukraine, and talking up the popularity of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
His comments came after Trump called Zelensky a “dictator” and his team of negotiators met with Russians to open talks aimed at ending the war.

“Mark Levin Defies Trump By Backing Zelensky and Trashing Putin – Bashes ‘Sick’ and ‘Un-American’ Foreign Policy,” headlined Mediaite. Drudge headlined, “FOX LEVIN TRASHES ‘SICK’ AND ‘UNAMERICAN’ MAGA POLICIES,” and pulled out an out-of-date 2016 story headlined, “‘Count me as never Trump.’” The Post screamed, “Fox News’ Mark Levin criticizes Trump for attacking Zelensky: ‘MAGA doesn’t support Putin’.”
Levin, who has appeared with Trump and who Trump talks to, called the headlines “pathetic” clickbait.
“I have my views about a lot of things that don’t always sync up with Ronald Reagan or Milton Friedman or Bill Buckley or Donald Trump. But the difference is, we come at this from the same perspective. We love America. We’re concerned about America’s security. You know, big people, mature adults, they have discussions about these things. It doesn’t mean it’s personal. It doesn’t even mean it has anything to do with Donald Trump. I gave my opinion,” he told his audience at the start of his nightly three-hour show.
“This is pseudo news, so they desperately want to fight between Mark Levin and Donald Trump. Not going to happen. It isn’t happening,” he said.
On X he previewed his comments, writing, “Drudge is a liar. Mediaite distorts my comments to attack Trump. Yet again, I’ll explain tonight on radio as these aggregation Trump-hating kooks desperately create pseudo events.”
On his broadcasts Levin has hit those who strongly support Putin, and he does not count Trump in that camp.
“Trump is no ‘Putinoid.’ That whole Russia collusion thing was always a lie. Trump was tougher on Russia than anybody, that’s right,” he said, adding, “He doesn’t suck up to Putin, he’s trying to do what he said he wants to do, bring peace to the region, and he’ll do it his way. And strategically he’s absolutely brilliant.”

Levin ended the segment demanding an apology from Drudge and Mediaite.
“So this has nothing to do with, ‘People have said, well, he’s defying Trump.’ Trump doesn’t roll that way,” said Levin. “Trump has different people around him. Many of them give him different opinions, quietly and personally, that’s what he does. I’m not an adviser, unless he asks me a question, which he does from time to time, not on this. And that’s the way it is. There’s nothing else to it. There’s nothing controversial. And Mediaite, you owe me an apology, and Drudge, I don’t even think [Matt] Drudge runs that crap anymore over there at the Drudge Report.”
