Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) blasted a small Atlanta college for reinstating a mask mandate for the next two weeks and forcing students to adhere to social distancing requirements.
The announcement from Morris Brown College was made Monday and said that masks would be making a comeback at the small Atlanta HBCU, which has a student body of less than 500 students.

In response, Greene blasted the school in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, where she said that "Americans have had enough COVID hysteria."
"We will not comply," she wrote in all capital letters.

The announcement said that students and employees will be required to wear masks for the next 14 days and that students must "maintain physical distancing." Students who test positive for COVID-19 must isolate for five days and undergo contact tracing, in accordance with CDC guidelines.
Additionally, the college said that large gatherings would not take place and that there would be "no parties or large student events on campus for the next two weeks."
"We prioritize your safety and seek your cooperation in preventing another pandemic," college President Kevin James said.
The mandate at Morris Brown also drew a harsh reaction from Young Americans for Liberty, which noted that the reinstated mask mandate was from "this week" and not from the height of the pandemic in 2020.
"They really are going to try this again," the organization wrote.
This is not a 2020 story.

The new mask mandate at the Atlanta school comes as mask mandates have largely become a thing of the past and the pandemic recedes from memory. Nevertheless, close to 100 colleges still have vaccine mandates, according to No College Mandates, which monitors remaining COVID-19 mandates on college campuses.
The list includes Rutgers University, which has threatened to unenroll students who do not comply with the mandate.
