The Georgia representative announced through her social media on Wednesday that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has given "unfettered access" to the tapes to reporters John Solomon, Julie Kelly, and "a third outlet." Greene added that their reporting on the tapes will begin on Thursday.
"This is the transparency the American people deserve and I look forward to their reporting!" Greene wrote on social media.

The Jan. 6 riots took place shortly before President Donald Trump left the White House in 2021. Trump, who is running for president again in the 2024 presidential election, stated earlier this month that he would pardon most of the Jan. 6 protesters, though he noted that a couple of them "got out of control."
Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, a Republican who is also running for president, has stated he has no plans to issue "blanket pardons" to the Jan. 6 protesters. Hutchinson also asserted that President Joe Biden was "certainly" duly elected in 2020.
