A group of Marines will not be disciplined after getting into a fight while in their uniforms outside an Austin, Texas, bar over the weekend.
The early Sunday morning confrontation, which has been posted online, showed a quickly escalating situation that began when a woman appeared to take one of the Marines' phones and throw it. Then, the camera swings away from the action, and when it's back on the conflict, a man in a white sweatshirt confronts and ultimately throws a punch at one of the Marines. At that point, a couple of civilians and about twice as many service members began pushing and shoving one another.

Some punches were thrown before police quickly broke up the fight.
"The scene was initially attended to by officers from the Texas Department of Safety (DPS) Troopers, who were immediately joined by APD officers. The officers successfully intervened and brought an end to the fight. Two individuals were briefly detained but were subsequently released without any further incidents," an Austin Police Department spokesperson told the Washington Examiner. "No arrests were made in connection with the incident."

The Marines were from Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines, 4th Marine Division, and they will not face disciplinary actions for the incident, 2nd Lt. Sean Cloherty, a Marine Forces Reserve spokesman, told Military.com.
"No Marines were hospitalized or taken into custody," Cloherty said. "While the command is informally looking into the situation and all Marines are accounted for, there are no formal actions being taken at this time."
