Thousands of pro-Israel protesters are expected to descend on the National Mall in Washington on Tuesday to combat rising antisemitism in the March for Israel.
The March for Israel is the product of a collaboration between the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and the Jewish Federations of North America, according to a report, in an effort to bring together those who remain stalwart in their support of the Jewish state.

Solidarity with Israel will be the driving theme of the march, and protesters will demand the release of hostages captured and held by Hamas, the report noted.
"On Oct. 7, merciless Hamas terrorists launched the deadliest attack on Israel in its 75-year history, brutally murdering the most Jewish people in a single day since the Holocaust," Eric D. Fingerhut, the CEO and president of the Jewish Federations of North America, said.

"Israel must eliminate the terrorist threat on its border and restore safety and security to its people," he said. "Americans have rightly stood by Israel at this critical moment because Americans understand that Israel’s fight against Hamas is no different than America’s fight against Al Qaeda and ISIS."
By gathering on the National Mall, participants can demonstrate their support to the people of Israel and show that they stand in firm negation to rising hate and antisemitism, Fingerhut said.
"This is a moment where all of us must stand against terror and defend what the terrorists seek to destroy," he said.
William Daroff, the CEO of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, called Tuesday's march an extension of a long history of defending the interests of the Jewish people.
"Hamas' brutal and ongoing acts of terror have no place in a civilized world and directly undermine global efforts to seek just and lasting peace in the Middle East," Daroff said.

"It's imperative that America sends a resounding message of support to our ally that we stand in solidarity with the victims, hostages, and their families, that we reject extreme anti-Israel rhetoric and sentiment, and that we are united around shared values of peace, justice, and freedom," he said.
The crowd at the March for Israel will begin its march at 1 p.m., and its size is expected to meet, if not surpass, the 100,000-people mark of the 2002 pro-Israel rally and the 1987 rally in support of Jews in the Soviet Union, according to the report.
