A Minnesota man purportedly told his father he "had to do it" after he was arrested for the murder of a transgender woman following a sexual encounter.
Damarean Kaylon Bible, 25, was charged Tuesday by the Hennepin County Attorney's Office with second-degree murder relating to the shooting of alleged 38-year-old transgender woman Savannah Ryan Williams, according to a report.

Bible was taken into custody Friday after authorities discovered the corpse of Williams on Nov. 29 around 9:00 a.m.
Surveillance footage showed Bible walking with the victim at approximately 5:00 a.m. near the crime scene, and Bible can be seen walking away from the area roughly 45 minutes later following a gunshot.
After leaving the scene, Bible boarded a train at the Lake Street light-rail station and went to an apartment, where authorities caught up with him and took him into custody as he was leaving, the report noted.
The suspect first denied being involved in the death of the victim, but he later admitted that he had shot Williams after the pair had met at a Lake Street bus shelter, according to the report.
Williams asked him if he wanted sex, and Bible agreed to walk with Williams to a courtyard, where he became "suspicious" of the transgender woman.
Then, when a sexual act was completed, he allegedly used a 9mm gun to shoot Williams.
