<span class="ArticlePage-articleBody-firstLetter">R</span>obert Card, the suspect in the mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine, has reportedly been found dead.


Card, 40, was the suspect in the fatal shooting of 18 people at a recreation center and bar on Wednesday. Law enforcement officers told CNN that Card's body was discovered with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot would to the head.

Sen. Angus King (D-ME) also confirmed to the Bangor Daily News that Card was dead.


The Maine State Police have <a class="Link" href="https://twitter.com/mestatepolice/status/1718071657368113372?s=46&amp;t=aBKZShCBBWodFuKrMek0ZA" target="_blank">scheduled a press conference</a> for 10 p.m.
