The liberal-leaning Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate has outraised her conservative competitor by more than $10 million as the state race that has garnered national attention heads into its final stretch.

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Janet Protasiewicz raised nearly $12.4 million to former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Daniel Kelly's $2.2 million in the final campaign finance reporting between Feb. 7 and March 20, according to the latest disclosure forms filed Monday night.

In all, Protasiewicz has raised $14.5 million, with more than $8.8 million coming from the state Democratic Party. Kelly, who has raised more than $2.7 million, picked up nearly $500,000 from the Republican Party of Wisconsin and another $50,000 in donations from county GOP parties and the Republican Assembly Campaign Committee.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court contest has become the costliest high court election in U.S. history, with more than $30 million pouring into the up-for-grabs seat on the Supreme Court.

Kelly and Protasiewicz are running to replace Justice Patience Roggensack, a conservative whose term expires in July. While the election is nonpartisan, the court has a 4-3 conservative majority.
