Washington Examiner’s Joe Concha said it’s not in the legacy media’s “DNA” to commend President Donald Trump’s work despite what Concha described as strides toward global peace.

Trump is arranging a trilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin after holding separate meetings with each of them. Concha said the negotiations follow Trump’s efforts to broker peace deals in other conflicts, citing India and Pakistan as examples.

“But to give Trump credit would mean legacy media would actually have to do their job, and it’s just not in their DNA to say too many things positive about President Trump even when the evidence is overwhelming otherwise,” Concha said on Fox News’s Fox & Friends First.

Concha said Trump critics such as Bill Kristol and former national security adviser John Bolton are booked “all the time” for media appearances despite being wrong about “basically everything.”

He also pointed to what he described as the media’s negative coverage of Trump’s strike against Iran’s nuclear sites in June, calling it “utterly remarkable.”

“You see the facts there on your screen, and those are the facts, and that’s why Donald Trump, mark down the words, save the tape, will win a Nobel Peace Prize before he leaves office,” Concha said.

DEMOCRATS WOULD RATHER SEE UKRAINE BLEED THAN TRUMP SUCCEED

Trump ruled out the possibility of sending U.S. troops to Ukraine on Tuesday, saying, “I’m just trying to stop people from being killed.”

The president also said it’s possible Putin “doesn’t want to make a deal.” Trump spoke to the Russian leader after he met with the European leaders and Zelensky on Monday, saying he felt it would be “disrespectful” to call him in front of the other leaders.
