Chuck Todd, Keith Olbermann, and other left-wing journalists sided with ABC News’s Terry Moran’s now-viral statement attacking President Donald Trump and Stephen Miller.
Moran, the network’s senior national correspondent, was suspended on Sunday after he called Trump’s deputy chief of staff, Miller, a “world-class hater” in a since-deleted X post. However, it can still be seen on social media.

Following the White House‘s demands that the network take action, ABC News issued a statement saying it “stands for objectivity and impartiality in its news coverage and does not condone subjective personal attacks on others.”
Miller addressed the controversy on X, calling Moran’s post a “full public meltdown,” and accused the media of long-standing bias.
“For decades, the privileged anchors and reporters narrating and gatekeeping our society have been radicals adopting a journalist’s pose,” Miller said. “Terry pulled off his mask.”
Some in the legacy media praised Moran for speaking out against Miller.
Todd was among those who pushed back against Miller’s claim. On Sunday, he posted that “nothing lazier or more transparently dishonest than to take one person’s deleted tweet and try to apply the sentiment to an entire group of folks.”
“Ask yourself why he wants to slime any journalist for the sins of one? It’s intentionally dishonest and intentionally divisive,” Todd said on X.
Olbermann, a liberal political commentator, also defended Moran. He said the White House is “full of cowards and weaklings,” and Moran was telling the truth and was wrongfully suspended.
“You will note that for all their embarrassing weakness, neither Miller nor anybody in this dictatorship denied a word Moran wrote about Miller and Trump,” Olbermann said.

Former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan echoed Olbermann’s statement, calling the Trump administration “snowflakes,” “pretend free speech warriors,” and “hypocrites.”
Meanwhile, conservative podcast host Megyn Kelly supported Moran’s suspension, saying, “Any actual news organization would fire him this minute.”
