A learning disabilities teacher at a Virginia high school was arrested after it was revealed she had a sexual relationship with a student.

Administration at James Madison High School, located in Vienna, Virginia, contacted law enforcement on Wednesday after a student disclosed an inappropriate sexual relationship with a teacher, according to police. Detectives then took over the investigation and determined that Allieh Kheradmand, 33, of Reston, Virginia, had unlawful contact with a student over the past several months, the Fairfax County Police Department stated Friday.

Kheradmand was arrested on Thursday and charged with four counts of indecent liberties by a custodian, according to police. She is currently being held without bond, according to the police's news release.

Kheradmand has been a teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools since 2016. As of Saturday afternoon, her staff page on James Madison High School's website is not available for the public.

In the wake of Kheradmand's arrest, the county sent out a letter to school families, which stated that an employee had been placed on administrative leave, according to ABC 7.
