Fox & Friends is getting an extra co-host with Lawrence Jones, who is joining the morning television show on a permanent basis.

The network announced Jones's new role on Thursday. He will join current co-hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, and Brian Kilmeade, starting Monday. Prior to joining as a co-host, Jones had been an enterprise reporter on the show, interviewing people at diners around the United States.

"I am honored to become a part of the cable news legacy Fox News has created with ‘Fox & Friends,’ the very show where I made my first-ever national television appearance," Jones said in a statement. "It is truly a privilege to inform our audience every day and I can’t wait to do so each morning."

In addition to working as an enterprise reporter, Jones also served as the host of Lawrence Jones Cross Country, which ran from January 2022 through last week. Through the show, Jones became the youngest black solo host on cable news at 30 years old.

His show will be replaced by One Nation with Brian Kilmeade, which will now air at 9 p.m. EST on Saturday evenings.

"Lawrence has his finger on the pulse of what matters to communities across America and his insight has proved invaluable to the ‘FOX & Friends’ audience," said Gavin Hadden, Fox News Channel's senior vice president of morning programming. "We look forward to welcoming him to our family as he wakes up America alongside our star co-hosts each morning."

Jones will still work as an enterprise reporter for Fox & Friends, which he started working in 2021. Prior to that, he joined Fox News back in 2018.
