Republican National Committee co-chairwoman Lara Trump said that the presidential campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris is having trouble “selling” her as a presidential candidate because she lacks connection with the public.
“They are having a hard time over at the Kamala Harris campaign selling people,” Trump said on Hannity Tuesday.
The RNC leader said the “full weight of mainstream media” has attempted to help the Democratic nominee’s bid for president.
“Despite the fact that they’ve dumped hundreds of millions of dollars into trying to bolster her up, and trying to make her happen. She is just not happening for the American people it turns out, because you can’t convince people of bad policies,” Trump said.
During her interview on Fox News, Trump added that Americans can’t be swayed on “radical ideas” and the Republican presidential candidate has far more of “connection” with the American people than Harris.
“Donald Trump connects with the American people. You cannot manufacture a connection with Kamala Harris because she doesn’t connect with the American people,” Trump said.
The daughter-in-law of the Republican presidential nominee called the upcoming U.S.-Mexico border visit “a photo op” for the vice president later this week.
“She has left totally unsecured for four years, letting millions of people just dump into our country, including known terrorists,” Trump said.
The RNC co-chair encouraged the vice president to use her influence to pressure President Joe Biden to make a difference in policies that are impacting people now.

“If she wants to get something changed, go over and talk to Joe Biden and strong-arm him just like you strong-armed him out of the race for president. Tell him to actually implement the laws as they are written on the books, but you know she will not do that.”
Harris and Trump have been campaigning in battleground states, attempting to sell voters on their visions. The vice president is set to visit the border during a campaign rally in Arizona on Friday. Her last border visit was in El Paso, Texas, in 2021.
