Lara Trump outlined the key battleground states that the Republican National Committee is focused on going into the 2024 general election.

In an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’s Mornings with Maria, Lara Trump said while all states are critical in winning the election, Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin were of particular interest to the RNC to boost Trump’s reelection chances. Lara Trump is the newly appointed co-chair of the Republican National Committee and daughter-in-law to former President Donald Trump.

“Every state matters obviously, but there are the key battleground states I think as Micheal [Wheatly] mentioned that we really do have to focus on.” Lara Trump said.

She highlighted Pennsylvania, among four others, as states the Trump campaign and RNC are eyeing this campaign season.

“Pennsylvania is absolutely one of those states,” Lara Trump said. “We also have to focus on states like Arizona, Wisconsin.”

In Pennsylvania, recent polls show President Joe Biden soaring ahead of Donald Trump by 10 percentage points. In Arizona, the only battleground state on the southern border, Trump is leading over Biden. The race is narrow in Wisconsin, with Biden polling slightly ahead of Trump.

“Michigan, a state that was a huge win for Donald Trump in 2016, I think we can get back under our belt,” Trump said.

A March poll showed Trump beating Biden in Michigan by three percentage points. Independents currently lean toward Trump in the state, while each candidate got majority support from their respective parties.

“Georgia, a state that Donald Trump also wants to focus highly on. You’re going to see another huge fundraising haul out of that state next week as well from President Trump,” Lara Trump said.

In Georgia, Trump is narrowly polling ahead of Biden, a state which the Biden campaign managed to flip blue in 2020 for the first time in decades. As concerns grow about Biden holding the Peach State in November, his campaign is looking to nearby North Carolina as a state they can flip in 2024.

“I would certainly advocate for North Carolina over Georgia right now with the Biden campaign,” Gov. Roy Cooper (D-NC) said. Lara Trump did not mention North Carolina or Nevada, another state the Biden campaign is eyeing to keep blue this November.

“All the battleground states we’re highly focused on. There are 19 key counties around the country we must win in order to ensure Donald Trump becomes the 47th President,” Lara Trump said.
