A Nike store in Los Angeles lost nearly $12,000 in products after a flash mob of over a dozen people pillaged it.

Footage posted to social media shows the people flooding the store, ripping clothes off racks, and shoving shoes into what appear to be trash bags.

The crime occurred last Sunday at approximately 5:50 p.m. when at least 17 individuals arrived at the South Alameda location in five vehicles, according to a report.

"The suspects, whose faces were concealed by medical masks or other material, ran into a retail store with trash bags in hand," a Los Angeles Police Department release read.

"They placed clothing and boxes of shoes in the trash bags and fled from the location without paying for the merchandise."

Thirteen of the suspects are believed to be Black males, and four are believed to be Black females, LAPD said, adding the ages of the suspects range between 15-20 years old.

Vehicles used by the gang are listed as a gray KIA SUV, a tan Infiniti four-door, a white Honda four-door, and a black Audi, the report noted.

"This flash mob used their size in numbers to intimidate and instill fear onto the store employees to prevent them from taking the merchandise," authorities said.
