Musician Kid Rock revealed Wednesday evening that he and former President Donald Trump recently approached the CEO of Anheuser-Busch over the controversy the company has faced regarding Bud Light.
Kid Rock and Trump attended Saturday's UFC event, during which the musician found out Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Ball Whitworth was also in attendance. Trump then asked Kid Rock if he wanted to talk to Whitworth, which led to the three of them having "a great conversation."

"Cause you know, if you put this in context, why did this start?" Kid Rock said on Fox News's Hannity. "I told him that, and I go, 'You signaled to a lot of people like myself, like-minded people,' put the trans thing aside for a minute, right? But by sending that can to the trans kid, you kind of signaled to us, you support this lifestyle, and more importantly, men being in women's sports or in my granddaughter's locker room. Most of us draw a hard line right there."
The musician was referring to the drama Anheuser-Busch has faced for the majority of this year after it sent a custom-made can of Bud Light to transgender social media star Dylan Mulvaney in late March. The move resulted in major backlash for the brewery, which owns the Bud Light brand, with many conservatives calling for a boycott of the company.
Kid Rock weighed into the situation earlier this year, sharing a video of him shooting multiple cases of Bud Light with a gun, then giving the middle finger and saying, "F*** Bud Light." He explained that he did not call for a boycott of the drink and only said, "F you," and, "What are you doing injecting yourself into this conversation?"
"Let me say this to the trans and gay community right now," Kid Rock said. "Be yourself. If you are cool with me, I'm cool with you. That's how most people are. But as soon as you bring our kids into this, that's where you bring hatred into it. Leave our fricking kids out of it. That's the bottom line."

Amid Anheuser-Busch's financial setbacks, the company has made a deal with UFC to make Bud Light the sponsor of the fighting event. UFC President Dana White has defended the partnership, stating that he is looking at "all the good things" that Anheuser-Busch has done. Kid Rock also seemed to support White's decision, noting that many of Bud Light's employees did not have a say in the Dylan Mulvaney partnership.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Kid Rock and conservative country singer Jason Aldean would headline the "Rock the Country" festival series, which will start in April next year. The event will take place throughout seven small towns in the southern United States.
