The musical lineup for President-elect Donald Trump‘s inauguration has continued to fill up with the likes of Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Jason Aldean.
Trump will make history on Jan. 20 as the first president to serve two non-consecutive terms. During the last inauguration, the country was under strict COVID-19 restrictions and did not solicit a large crowd to travel for the event. This year, the tradition will return to normal with various musical performances across two days before a live crowd.
Inauguration celebrations will include a performance by the Village People on the eve of Trump’s ceremony. Trump often danced to their “YMCA” song while on the campaign trail. This event will also serve as Trump’s Victory Rally, hosted at the Capital One Arena. Cyrus will also perform at the rally, and Kid Rock, who spoke at the Republican National Convention and has accompanied Trump at UFC fights, will join them.
During the inauguration on the Capitol steps, Carrie Underwood will perform “America the Beautiful.” Opera singer Christopher Macchio is set to sing the national anthem, and Lee Greenwood will perform the president-elect’s walk-on song throughout his campaign, “God Bless the USA.”

Later that evening, country group Rascal Flatts is scheduled to perform at the Inaugural Ball. There, Aldean will join them. He dedicated his hit “Try That in a Small Town” to Trump shortly following the attempted assassination in July. The country music star then made an appearance at the RNC, where Trump was made the party’s presidential nominee. Trump recorded an introduction for Aldean that played before his concert in Macon, Georgia, last October. The musician gave Trump a full-throated endorsement at that concert.
Washington, D.C., is anticipating a cold Inauguration Day, with a forecasted high of 29 degrees Fahrenheit. Every president has been inaugurated on Jan. 20 since 1937, according to the 20th Amendment.
